About The Role

We are seeking a highly innovative, experienced and organized Marketing Manager who is inspired by our products and wants to use their unique set of skills on a promising company. As the Marketing Manager, you will report to the VP of Business Development, and will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing campaigns to support expansion and growth of Hero Innovation Group's products. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of marketing research, strategy, and tactics that increases customer acquisition, conversion, loyalty and future value. Familiarity with a wide range of B2B and B2C marketing practices, concepts, and procedures is highly appreciated. Our Marketing team has the opportunity to work out of our office in Vancouver, BC or remotely from within North America. We are accepting applicants located anywhere in Canada or the US for this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated digital (PPL and PPC - Google and Facebook ads) and traditional targeted marketing programs and campaigns that drive revenue and brand objectives for our products in North America.
  • Drive consistency and impact of message across paid, owned and earned channels, ensuring that all efforts adhere to the brand strategy and graphic standards.
  • Partner with Product, Support, and Sales teams to identify opportunities for customer engagement and product adoption and translate those opportunities into effective nurturing journeys.
  • Collaborate with the in-house digital marketing specialist to maintain websites, create landing pages and email marketing campaigns, drive social media content and aspects of our marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, proactively identifying opportunities to retain customers and conducting program analysis to gain insights for future program iterations.
  • Research, coordinate and gather information necessary to develop presentations, fact sheets and reports, and generate valuable insights to the wider organization on any marketing related efforts.
  • Own the coordination of paid media assets, as well as affiliate marketing activities.
  • Reports on and shares key customer insights and results with internal stakeholders in order to develop and recommend targeted marketing programs.
  • Measure and report results and KPIs from marketing and communications activities with key internal and external stakeholders.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A degree or diploma in a marketing or business discipline.
  • At least 3 years recent, related experience in data-driven marketing, email marketing or customer marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, techniques and tools in data-driven marketing.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics in North America.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business situations and develop creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of marketing plans in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and across multiple channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Confidence to provide information, support and recommendations to senior management.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-starter who is eager to develop professionally.
  • Work knowledge of email marketing tools.
  • Work hours must overlap at least 5 hours with Pacific Time hours (9AM-5PM)

Nice to have

  • Experience in the international education industry.
  • Experience in fintech or banking.
  • Experience with a marketing automation platform (ex. Hubspot Marketing).
  • Work knowledge of Google Analytics (or similar tools).
  • Work knowledge of Excel or similar tools to help transform and manipulate data to report on it in a meaningful way.
